This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in grades nine through twelfth, plus additional years of vocational-transition (ages 15 - 21). We are a small, public school tucked away in the beautiful mountains. We are avid outdoor adventurers, and our lessons are geared towards Community-Based Vocational Instruction (CBVI).

My Project

My students are in the most restricted environment and struggle to fit it in. Looking good helps you feel good!

We need deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste for obvious reasons.

My students have special needs and the electric toothbrushes will be the perfect motivator.

The bathing cloths and "safe travel-wear" (incontinence underwear) are needed for my students that have life skills' needs, such as toileting. We frequent the community and these items are essential.

The nail care kit, hair clips, hairbrush, headbands, and nail decals will give my students confidence as we practice our self-help skills. The hair accessories and nail decals are sure to boost their self-esteem.
