My Students
My students want to build a locker set for the varsity basketball team as a manufacturing project in our wood shop. This request was prompted by their coach and has developed with great interest and momentum. They have selected the material to create this project and below they have written their rationale.
In their words:
"Our students have known each other and gone to the same school together for most of their lives, and have bonded to create relationships with each other that nothing can break. They are wonderful students who do the right thing to help themselves or others become successful.
These students that are working on this project are great kids, outgoing, and make the most of everything. They are in grades 10-11, and they would love to do this for their school. They work hard and love seeing a project come together."

"This will allow the students to work together and give each other fresh and different ideas.
It will also open them up to explore other amazing opportunities for new projects and to get the full learning experience.
With taking on a larger project, it will build their confidence for future projects that challenge our patience, focus, and teamwork. The students who are working on the project all play for the basketball team and our motivation to do this is truly special. We want to help our school, and the future athletes."
