My first graders are curious about everything. Last summer, I found a toad and brought him inside for the children to observe. They continue to call it a frog.
I want them to learn about how certain animals go through metamorphosis by watching up close.
Both painted lady butterflies and frogs completely change as they grow from infant to adult. This project will help me show the children the process in person, instead of a video.
I believe we learn best by doing, not watching. These supplies will enable me to create an experience these children will not forget.
