This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help my beginning violin students by replacing essential instrument parts such as cases and bows, replacing old cracked violin cases with new ones and replacing old, worn out/dirty bows with new ones.
In addition, help my beginning violin students by:
providing students with essential accessories (shoulder rests), to assist them in holding the violin properly. Posture is extremely important in the first year of playing. Beginners often find the wood and metal on the violin to be very uncomfortable on the neck and collarbone, which can lead to discouragement and stall progress. Simple foam shoulder rests attached with rubber bands provides elevation, grip and comfort for a new musician!
