My Students
Our ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) class is made up of 32 fourth graders. All 32 students are ESL students with 3 being non-English speakers. Twelve students have IEPs as well. They are eager, well behaved students who love to be engaged in learning.
Most students in this class are bilingual, speaking either Chinese or Spanish as well as English as their second language.
We have had a large push to use technology to help our ESL population as well.
We want our classroom to allow for students to have a choice on how and where they learn by offering technology options as well as seating options.
My Project
This year we are following the blended learning model, where students will be learning remotely every other day, if not full time. As teachers we must wear a mask, but it makes our voices muffled and low. Therefore, we each would like a microphone so that the students in class as well as home can hear the lesson.
A microphone will benefit students in class as well as at home so that they can hear both of their teachers.
We also need toner to help the students in the classroom by providing individual scaffolds so that they are not sharing materials.
