My Students
My students love getting away from their desks during group lessons. Sitting on the carpet with their whiteboards or notebooks during my whole group lessons really engages them and allows me to closely monitor their attention during my lessons.
My students this year are very self motivated and love to learn!
They enjoy working with partners while sitting as a whole group. Some students come from families struggling with finances but are accepted by all students in the classroom regardless. They enjoy coming to school and feel as if it is a safe predictable place they can visit every day.
My Project
My students will jump for joy to have the opportunity to sit on a comfy new classroom rug. They get very excited when I call them to the floor for reading or whole group math lessons and the occasional movie. Students can snuggle up with a favorite book during independent reading time and having a carpet makes the classroom feel like home!
