Littles, Literacy, and Learning in the Library

Help me give my students interactive sound books and musical instruments to make literature come alive and foster a love for reading while in PreK.

My Project

As a school librarian, I am fortunate to see all of our PreK and Kindergarteners daily. I love the way my littles respond to me singing and dancing before reading a story. They appear to be mesmerized by my performance every time.

They are extremely special because they are resilient and rise above the environmental challenges that their families face in their poverty stricken neighborhood.

Each day they visit me the expectancy in there to be entertained and to listen to a good book.

My desire is to empower them to become independent speakers, readers and performers through interactive books.
