My Students
My students are fun, compassionate, and curious young children. When they arrive at school in the morning, they race to the schedule, excited to find out what is on the agenda for the day. Every day is fresh, new, and exciting!
Our school is one of the most diverse in the district, and is located in a tight-knit community in the heart of San Francisco.
Many of my students' cousins, parents, and even grandparents have attended our school! The community bond shows through as students giggle, play, and learn together throughout the day.
My Project
Despite their young age, my kindergarteners are capable of engaging in the deep thinking involved in going back to an old piece of writing and working to make it even better.
This year, by creating a writing portfolio for each student, I hope to help them think and reflect on how much they learn throughout the year.
My students will use these staplers to add additional pages to their books. They can use masking tape to add more lines or picture space to a particular page. The pencil pouches will hold each child's markers, flair pens, and other chosen writing tools.
By engaging students in the revision process, I hope to help them develop the mindset that they can learn and grow each and every day.
