Little Writers, Big Ideas: Tools to Shine!

My Project

In our first grade classroom, we are growing a community of writers! Every day, my students are learning to turn their thoughts into sentences, their stories into paragraphs, and their imagination into published work. They are excited to write—but we need the right tools to help them stay organized, practice consistently, and feel proud of their progress.

Right now, we’re running low on essential writing supplies like folders to organize drafts, lined paper that supports developing handwriting, and journals for daily writing practice.

These materials may seem basic, but they are absolutely vital for building strong foundational writing skills.

With your support, this project will provide my first graders with:

*Writing folders to store rough drafts, final copies, and writing rubrics

*Primary writing paper with guidelines that support correct letter formation

*Personal writing journals to encourage daily writing and creativity

Having dedicated materials for writing helps students take their work seriously. It teaches them to plan, revise, and take pride in their ideas. These tools will allow them to track their growth over time and celebrate the small—but powerful—steps they make as young authors.

Your donation will directly impact 25 first graders who are learning to love writing and finding their voice—one sentence at a time. Thank you for helping them grow into confident communicators!
