Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Little Wonders are a caring and supportive class of third graders who are excited about learning. They celebrate their progress and motivate each other to grow. COVID-19 has impacted our my students by expanding the deficits in learning particularly with reading foundational skills.

These requested resources will benefit my students by enhancing their learning daily.

My students will use their headphones to allow them to hear the audio on the iPads they use at school. This will allow them to be more attentive to the learning on their iPads. This will greatly benefit my struggling readers, as they will be able to hear the audio as they develop their reading skills. I will use the document camera to model conceptual ideas in math and writing, as well as allow my students to share their own thinking with their classmates.

The tabletop easel and student individual white boards will be used to allow for work in small and whole group by allowing my students to quickly share and model their thinking.

The Big Joe beanbag chairs will be used in our classroom cool-down area to allow students to refocus and use the self-regulating skills they are developing.

The book sets will provide reading material for my students that will allow them to engage with literature in which they have expressed interest.
