This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are creative, active, loving, full of questions and inspiring! They absolutely enjoy fun, hands-on activities.
They are active learners who need movement throughout the day in order to allow them to explore and interact with one another.
Early Childhood Education is the focus of our school. We offer busing services which bring students from all over the city with different backgrounds and challenges. 75% of my students come from low income families. Although my students are exposed to different learning strategies and are constantly on the go while learning, they need new hands-on activities every week that allow them to focus and emerge as readers. By having this extra support we will be able to provide them with opportunities to meet their needs. These preschoolers are really an amazing group that fill my day with their smiles, questions and original ideas.
My Project
We would like to update our learning centers, the little whales need a 4-sided easel where four students can work at a time and share their ideas and outcomes when painting, drawing or designing. They need a new seating area to enjoy books and reading. This new are will allow them to continue cultivating their love for learning.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student interest in learning but their attention and focus, will increase.
Kids love to make choices, when having the opportunity to choose between attractive learning centers, it will allow them to make decisions and they will work more efficiently and the number of conflicts will be less.
