This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are creative, active, loving, full of questions and inspiring! They absolutely enjoy fun, hands-on activities.
They are active learners who need hands-on activities throughout the day in order to allow them to explore and interact with one another.
Early Childhood Education is the focus of our school. We offer busing services that bring students from all over the city with different backgrounds and challenges. 75% of my students come from low-income families. Although my students are exposed to different learning strategies and are constantly on the go while learning, they need new hands-on activities every week that allow them to focus and emerge as readers. By having this extra support we will be able to provide them with opportunities to meet their needs. These preschoolers are really an amazing group that fill my day with their smiles, questions and original ideas.
My Project
When kids are busy, they are usually leaving crumbs or little pieces of trash behind on the floor. We need to constantly vacuum our room, sometimes three times a day. Standards vacuums are loud and make a lot of noise than can distract the learning process or trigger some sensory issues in our students.
This vacuum and cleaning utensils will allow my students to have a clean and safe place during the day.
The noiseless vacuum will allow us to use it anytime during the day, instead of waiting until the room is empty during a transition time or at the end of the day.
