This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our Tigers are scholars that come ready to learn. These little Tigers have a passion for learning. My students are thinkers, helpers, and creative. Their motivation to learn is contagious throughout the Petersen campus.
My classroom inspires kindergartners to explore, to become thinkers and sets the foundation in becoming life long learners.
Tigers are eager to learn, motivated, and great friends. Our school believes that all students can achieve greatness, we believe in our students and will support our students with whatever it takes.
My Project
A Safe Zone is a quiet place where children can go voluntarily to comfort themselves. There are times when students feel upset or sad and it is OK for them to take some time alone to help feel better.
The Tepee Tent will serve as the Safe Zone where children will learn to keep themselves in control in emotionally charged situations.
Flexible seating allows students the choice of learning spaces that best work for them.
Flexible seating such as the Wobble Chairs increases oxygen flow to the brain, which helps keep young minds more alert and focused. Flexible seating makes learning fun.
