Little Sprouts Learning Garden, Irrigation System

Help me give my students a health harvest by assisting parents, staff, and community members with the irrigation system needed to ensure the crops students plant survive the hot summer.

My Project

The Little Sprouts Learning Gardens not only help to supply fresh foods to the culinary lab, but also, connect important standards of learning to real world application.

Students begin studying parts of plants and functions in kindergarten and by the end of 5th grade should be able to explain such concepts as sustainability, food cycles, and adaptations.

The Learning Gardens help to provide that natural space of learning. However, that learning can not take place without water.

By supporting the Learning Gardens with an irrigation system, you are helping us provide this learning on a sustainable bases. In addition, the produce grown in the Learning Gardens is used in the Culinary Lab, allowing students to connect their work that grew the food, to what we eat everyday. Ideal, with a health harvest, fresh foods will also be donated to those families in need. This would allow us to serve our students in numerous ways.
