My students need hands on science materials to explore. The Can Do Science Discovery Kits and the Complete Set of Science Viewers will offer a variety of science concepts that are meaningful to my pre-kindergarten students.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach Pre-Kindergarten at a small, neighborhood school in Central Florida. Our school is a Title I school and the majority of students qualify for free and reduced-price lunch. We are growing our Pre-K program and will be starting our second year.
The majority of our students start Pre-K speaking only Spanish and need an authentic experience to foster a love of learning and an introduction to vocabulary in these subject areas.
Our students are like little sponges as they are ready and willing to participate in these new activities!
My Project
In pre-kindergarten, my students learn by doing. We are in need of hands on science materials for our classroom. Young children love to explore at the science center, but novelty is key with at this age.
Children are naturally inquisitive and these materials will excite them and will make science more meaningful with these fun, interactive activities!
The Can Do Science Kits will provide a variety of hands on activities for science exploration throughout the year! Magnets, Sing or Float, and Animal Habitat sets will enhance our curriculum and make a lasting impression.
This is the time to excite our youngest learners about science as this excitement will carry through to other grade levels with them.
