I teach twenty-one wonderful students in an all day Kindergarten classroom in a high-need community.
My students are a beautiful, multi-cultural group with differing abilities. My classroom is hands- and brains-on, and we love to learn from one another and through music. We love to sing and dance. My goal is to inspire my students to believe in themselves and become lifelong learners. They have made my life brighter, and I would like to brighten theirs in return!
My Project
My students are in need of a comfortable place to enjoy books and read independently. The rest mat and comfy pillow seats will help make the reading corner an inviting place in the classroom. The students would have the opportunity, daily, to use the reading corner. I believe developing a warm, comfortable reading area will help inspire a love for reading in my students!
