My Project

Educators can provide meaningful reading materials for their scholars that reflect their interests and facilitate deep connections to what they’re reading. As someone who is currently working with young learners every day, I have a growing interest in ensuring that students see themselves as avid readers. With that, this Third Grade Library project is immensely impactful to my students to become proficient readers. Additionally, these board games such as Tile Lock Scrabble, Hi-Ho! Cherry - O Board Game and Take 'N Play Anywhere Tic Tac Toe Magnetic Game will be supplementary materials for indoor recess.

To teach reading and boost engagement in the classroom means reviewing a great deal of what is published, and taking this blend of approaches can open up avenues for both support and conferencing about reading goals with young learners.

I would consider this Third Grade classroom library as the heartbeat of my students' learning space; it is like cultivating a space for courageous conversations, and training these little readers to become future leaders.
