This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a wonderful group of K5 students in a Spanish immersion classroom. What I love most about my students is their curiosity, creativity, and the joy they bring into learning every single day. They are eager to explore books, discover new sounds, and proudly share the words they’re learning in Spanish. Watching them grow as bilingual readers is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

The resources I’m requesting—like Spanish read-aloud books, hands-on phonics games, alphabet centers, and visual learning tools—will support my students as they develop strong early literacy skills in Spanish.

These materials will help them connect letters and sounds, strengthen their vocabulary, and build reading fluency in fun, engaging ways.

In our classroom, we believe learning to read should be exciting, playful, and full of purpose. Your support will bring high-quality, culturally relevant Spanish literacy materials into our daily routine and give my students the foundation they need to become confident bilingual readers.
