This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Kindergarten is fun, and educational! My students need new hands on activities to help them believe that learning can be fun. We work hard to learn how to read, write, and count, but they deserve to have fun too.
I teach kindergarten in a title one school in a small low income town.
Many of our students have a hard or sad home life. As a teacher in my school, I want to teach them to love school and learning. Education can be fun. My students are sweet and always willing to learn. They deserve to learn by having fun and playing.
My Project
Our class is requesting new activities for our major subjects, such as reading, writing, math and science. Having these resources will help build our writing skills. We will be able to do hands on science experiments and play games while we learn to count and read. With these new resources our school year will be so much fun!
We are requesting some handwriting practice activities, an activity to enhance our learning of the story Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, and a Math activity. We also want a science kit to help us with our class science fair project.
This project is important because my students deserve to learn and have fun at the same time.
Our school is a high academic school and we push are kids hard. Building fun into learning makes our days more enjoyable. The happier we are at school the more we will learn. Thanks for caring about my class.
