This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is to fund new chapter books for my class. The DonorsChoose community has been very generous in helping us build our classroom library and students are responding. They are loving books and constantly asking for more to read. As my students continue to get excited about reading, this grant will give them the books they want to read for fun at home and school.
We are asking for book sets to build our classroom library.
The book sets - Amelia Bedelia, Ada Twist/Questioneers and Goosebumps - are engaging series that students have requested to read. Students read throughout the school day and also bring the books home to borrow. These books are helping them develop a lifelong love of reading by giving them interesting and engaging choices to read. Thank you so much!
