Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is intended to help offset the costs of building two little free libraries at each of the school buildings in our school district in order to provide free and equitable access to highly engaging, grade level appropriate books that students and their families can borrow, enjoy, and return at their leisure.
These two little free libraries will be the very first little free libraries in our community, and our hope is that they will be a catalyst for more libraries at other places within the neighborhood.
By providing these resources to our school community, we additionally hope to continue to foster a love of reading both in and out of school.
