My Project
Building with LEGOs is like a mental workout for little learners. Children develop problem-solving, spatial awareness, and critical thinking skills as they experiment and build with different combinations of bricks.
All students work together and build as a community, including; Special Education, ENL (English as a new language), (ASD) Autism Spectrum Disorder, and nonverbal children can all express themselves with LEGOs.
Legos can also be connected to math experiences, counting, measurement, comparisons, and fractions.
The hands-o, hand-eye coordination benefits all students. Tactile learning involves learning through touch, movement, and physical interaction. Students who learn this way often prefer hands-on activities and LEGOs will help them focus for longer periods of time.
LEGOs are colorful and vibrant and LEGOs can be used over and over again, allowing for years of exploring and learning.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
