Help me give my students a laptop in order to be able to incorporate technology in their learning. Also, with this laptop my students will be able spend more time on literacy websites and programs.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 18 students who are all non-English speaking students and are all mostly from low-income families. Two of my students are special needs students. They all come from homes where the parents do not speak English, and they do not have a role model in order to learn the English language from. My students are energetic little kids who love to learn and are very excited about being in school. However, since my students are all non-English speaking students, they need a lot of visuals and hands-on activities in order to learn and make the learning process more meaningful. Also, due to the lack of knowledge from the part of the parents on how to help their children, I feel that my students need a double dosage of educational fun activities in school in order to be up to par with their counterparts and succeed in school
My Project
In my prekindergarten classroom, we only have four computers and one of the computers is used for teacher daily use . This limits the time that each student has each week on the computer. This laptop would increase the amount of time each child has on the computer program Waterford.
My students have limited technology and literacy at home, so it is imperative that they get as much Waterford time as possible.
Waterford is an amazing literacy program that increases letter recognition, vocabulary, comprehension, and phonological awareness for our children.
Research has shown that exposure and success with Waterford has been directly linked to future success in literacy. By providing a strong literacy foundation in Pre-K, our students' chances of being successful in the future are greatly increased!
