it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The four-sided art easel I am requesting will be the centerpiece of the outdoor art station that my transitional kindergarten students will use during small group time. I am also requesting a drying rack where the children will put their artwork when they are finished creating, aprons to keep the paint off their clothes, and glitter paint.
There are important benefits of an outdoor art station.
My classroom is small, and it can get pretty loud as the children talk to each other. Having the art station outside will give the children more freedom to develop their oral language skills as they talk to each other about their artwork. Painting outside and outdoor learning will also stimulate the children's imaginations more than if it were inside the classroom. Lastly, when young children paint, it can get messy. Having an art station outdoors will be easier to clean up and will keep the indoor classroom clean.
