Little Learners Love Literacy

My Students

Learning should be fun! My 21st century learners are eager to build their literacy skills by using hands-on materials. By giving my students a variety of materials to use in their learning, I will be able to differentiate my instruction and teach them according to their individual needs

I teach in the Delta region of Eastern Arkansas.

The majority of my students come from homes that are economically disadvantaged. Instead of allowing this to hinder them, I make it a point each year to give my students opportunities to rise above their situations and be the best!

My Project

I am asking for literacy kits which will provide my students with the materials they need to practice making words, sentences, and learn to read without the use of worksheets. These kits will serve multiple purposes as my students will be able to use them for different ability levels and for customized instruction.

My students succeed in learning when it is made fun and fits their needs.

Hands-on materials for literacy will boost confidence and create success in each student. My young students will also learn group cooperation as well as responsibility as their learning becomes hands-on.
