My Students
My eight students are curious, fun, sweet, and persevering learners. They all are diagnosed with moderate to severe learning disabilities performing significantly below their age level. They have very high needs and need a lot of support in the classroom to complete various tasks throughout the day. Despite having many challenges, my students work hard at succeeding and they never give up. Each student has unique qualities and skills and we are all working towards becoming independent and kind individuals in our community.
My Project
The Pete the Cat books will support my students' love for reading, literacy, and language development. The sensory slime helps my students with self-regulation. Sensory slime helps my students with calming their bodies and fine motor development. My students absolutely love playing with slime and it helps them with attending to activities at the table. I use the sensory slime as a sensory break for a lot of my students and it helps them focus a lot better during the day. The fishing rods are great for helping my students with visual-motor development. The fishing rods make learning activities extra fun at the water table.
