This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have a good set of computers here in our classroom but there are a few additional things that would make them a little easier to use for these young learners.
We need batteries for our wireless mice and another wireless keyboard.
Wireless accessories make everything so much easier since the kids don't have to worry about getting tangled up in the cords. The webcams will be used as QR code scanners so that the kids can log in to the computers independently. We also need a keyboard cleaner that we can use on all of our keyboards because they get extremely dusty. Washi tape and contact paper are come things we go through all of the time so we just need some extras.
I try to make it so that my students can be independent in the classroom and access the materials they need on their own. I want them to feel successful in meeting their own needs so that they can build those self-help skills. Having the computers set up and organized for them really helps us achieve this goal.
