This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is to fund the beautiful learning materials created by Waseca Biomes. With this complete biome curriculum students will get to discover all the different types of life our planet supports with hands on materials.
The Introduction to the Biomes Curriculum–Elementary begins biome studies for elementary classrooms by looking at the essential Parts of a Biome: energy from the Sun, soil, air, water, plants, animals, the carbon cycle, and the nitrogen cycle.
Each part is explored with nomenclature, hands-on activities, movement, drama, and art. Introduction to the Biome Cards provide a first lesson on the eight different biomes used throughout the Waseca Biomes Curriculum: Temperate Forest, Tropical Forest, Wetlands, Grasslands, Mountains, Deserts, Polar Regions, and Ocean.
