My Project
Our children showed interest in community helpers, eagerly asking about the people who keep our town running. To nurture their curiosity, we want to create a hands-on learning environment using Lakeshore Community Block Play People, Link Go Magnetic Vehicles, and the Around Town Play Carpet. These materials will allow children to explore different roles in a fun and meaningful way.
Our goal is to deepen students’ understanding of community roles while strengthening their language, cooperation, and problem-solving skills.
By engaging in pretend play, they will build confidence, learn teamwork, and develop an appreciation for the important jobs that keep our community running.
These items will enhance learning by encouraging role-playing, problem-solving, and social interaction. The doctors office setup will help children develop empathy as they pretend to care for others. The Little Hands Tool Tote and I Can Build It! kits will foster creativity as they imagine constructing buildings. The figurines of a pilot, postman, baker, mailman, policeman, and construction worker models will inspire storytelling and discussions about these professionals’ contributions.
What makes our students special is their natural curiosity and excitement for learning through play. These materials will support their development and help them connect their play experiences to the real world, fostering a love for learning and appreciation for community helpers.
