This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are an inquisitive, creative bunch of readers that loves to learn and play! I love to find ways to keep them motivated and when I found out about MatataLab Tale-Bots I knew that this would be a perfect way to tap into their storytelling tinkering ways. Our school community comes from a hard working, and lower middle class neighborhood and it is my duty to make sure they are exposed to activities that will turn them into successful members of society.
In our Dual Language program and a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Sign Language program, students need ways to help them make connections with STEM, language and reading.
With Tale-bots, they will have the opportunity to build their early programming skills and better yet, they will do it in any language they need. It is hard to find robotics equipment that "speaks" Spanish and I hope that these bots help us achieve that connection.
