My students need building blocks that are child friendly, adapted play dough tools, magnetic shape and color mazes, and craft noodles.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Lucy's classroom raised $270

My Students
Imagine walking into kindergarten without any preparation. No interaction with other kids, classrooms or teachers. Scary huh? My classroom helps prepare students so they do not have to be overwhelmed in a new environment. I help give these students form their basic and fundamental skills before jumping into the big world of general education kindergarten.
The students in my classroom vary in skill levels, age, gender, and race.
However, they all share one thing in common. They want to learn!
My Project
My students learn through hands on experiences in a natural learning environment. By incorporating crafts, blocks, and puzzles students can work on various social, academic, fine motor, and problem solving skills.
My students currently have a block center but it is vary sparse.
Finding blocks that are easy to clean and are light enough that they can not hurt a child is tricky. This center works on social, fine motor and academic skills so it is very important. The Soft and Safe blocks and Best-Buy Jumbo Building sets will ensure students can work on these skills while maintaining safety.
The magnetic color and shape puzzles will be an amazing addition to our puzzle center. These two tools will help students with fine motor, sharing, problem solving, 1 to 1 correspondence, and academic skills.
The pull and peel wiggly eyes, craft noodles, and adaptive play dough rollers will be added to our art center. This center is one of my student's favorites! They can get messy, creative, and just be a kid! These new tools will help my students practice fine motor, social, and academic skills.
