Help me give my students a classroom where it is safe and social emotional learning is the norm. A place where emotions are expressed correctly and where regulation is the norm.

My Project

My classroom is filled with the most curious, vibrant, and courageous little humans you can imagine. I teach a self-contained Pre-K class that includes students with disabilities and English Learners, many of whom are navigating their very first school experience, often while learning English and developing key social and emotional skills at the same time. Each child in my room comes with a unique story, and my goal is to ensure every voice is honored, every emotion is supported, and every child is empowered to express themselves with confidence and care. Support nonverbal or minimally verbal learners through visual sensory tools. Help English Learners connect words with feelings through picture books and matching games. Reinforce SEL as part of our daily routine, not just during conflict or crisis. By building these habits early, my students will not only grow academically they’ll grow into emotionally intelligent, expressive, and connected humans. That’s the true foundation for lifelong learning. Your support doesn’t just provide supplies, it creates emotional safety, daily connection, and joyful learning for students who are often navigating complex worlds inside and outside the classroom. Together, we’re not just teaching letters and numbers, we’re teaching self-love, understanding, and empathy. Thank you for believing in their light.
