My Project

I love how curious, kind, and full of big feelings my first graders are. They will be learning so much academically, but they’ll also be developing important social and emotional skills—like managing emotions, building friendships, and expressing themselves in healthy ways. These resources—such as emotion plush toys, sensory bottles, fidget tubes, and Play-Doh—will support those skills by giving students a safe and calming space to reset when they feel overwhelmed. With these tools in a dedicated calm-down corner, my students will feel supported, stay focused, and grow both emotionally and academically.
