Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our integrated co-teaching classroom features students from every walk of life and many different perspectives. We are a classroom of English language learners, some students having learning or physical disabilities. The students in our class are accustomed to not having much and are incredibly grateful for everything they receive.
This year we are not asking the parents to purchase trip shirts, for financial reasons, so would like to use the hats as a trip "uniform" for our various outings and explorations.
We will be visiting various locations like the farm and the zoo for scientific learning, and completing community activities and projects. Even at 4 and 5 years old we are learning how we can have an impact on other people, our community, and the world around us.
Having the same hats will identify our students and keep us from getting lost! Thank you so much in advance for your kind donations!
