This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kiddos live in a high poverty area. My school is a Title I school. Everyday is a struggle for some, more than others. Giving them the opportunity to do hands on science projects lets our tactile learners excel.

A love for technology is something that can grow into something wonderful and is rarely forgotten.

My goal for my classroom is to create a break from everyday bookwork and worksheets. When we do stations, they get so excited because we get to move around the room while learning.

My Project

My kids love using technology and this is in short supply in my classroom. An iPad can be adapted into so many different learning centers. the Apple Apps are so diverse that all of my kids will have an opportunity to learn at their individual levels.

Many will be working on vocabulary and spelling while others will be working on increasing their fluency.

While they think they are having "playtime", they will actually be learning while having fun! I love seeing their excited faces when they succeed in a literacy or math center. The opportunity to use technology and become proficient is so important in this day and age.
