My Project
I love that our first grade students are creative, curious, and motivated, learners! They are eager to get their hands on learning with any manipulatives and tools offered to them. They have learned how to transformtoys from items of play, and changed them into tools for learning and it becomes fun to continue that learning inside and outside of the classroom.
Meeting the needs of each learning style is critical to reach every student and help them grow!
Materials like LEGOs help them physically build literacy concepts, math problems, and STEM challenges, which not only makes learning more fun but it helps them build tactile connections to their learning.
Planned lessons from TPT with the materials in this project will provide activities and kinesthetic learning that will help strengthen many student skills. Materials will enhance reading when students construct words, strengthen mathematics as they recreate math problems, and refine science skills as they design, build, and test creations.
