My students need new items to expand their artistic minds and explore different ways to interact with art and music. WE need rubbing plates, design rollers and more.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My little learners are so eager to be at school each and every day. One of our favorite things in the classroom is music, movement, and art. These three aspects of our daily activities engages their little feet, hands, and huge imaginations!
As special education students with varying disabilities, it is always exciting to see different way in which my students interact with resources around them.
Most of them can be sensitive with sensory activities so having the flexibility of different materials in the classroom gives each student an opportunity to delve into their creative and artistic little minds.
My Project
These materials would be put to great use in our classroom. Music and art is a critical component of our preschool program each and every day.
Our program highlights the importance of independence and creativity through hands on learning and experiences.
The drying and apron racks, along with the aprons would help our children to preserve their work and their clothes to enjoy throughout the rest of the day. The art materials such as paint, rollers, sponges and rubbing plates would give my students the chance to use different mediums other than the traditional art materials we already use. This would make their artwork even more creative and individualized. The music instruments and scarves would be a great addition to our study on music and gives students the chance to explore instruments they have never encountered before.
