My Students
My children have special needs, including autism, fetal alcohol syndrome, ADHD, Apraxia, etc. These are all disabilities which require the children to learn differently and creatively. Many of these children come from a low socioeconomic background.
In recent years, there has been a drastic cut of funding for our district and without you, these children will not be given the chances to do many things!
Our district used to receive ample state funding to provide the best educational opportunity possible.
My Project
Having this selection of materials will allow my students to express their creativity. A variety and wide selection puts no limits on what these children can create. Pom pops, model magic, paint, tape, ribbon, gems and glue are a few of the items that my students can use to make animals, flowers and other representations. When my students don't always have the words to use, their hands can create a voice for them.
We might have DaVinci, Monet, Van Gogh or perhaps the future Picasso in Room 7.
