This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Pre-Kindergarten students are full of energy and they feel my heart with joy each day. They come eager to learn the topics I introduce to them. For the next four weeks we will be learning all about Recycle, Reuse and Reduce. The community vehicles will be an asset to our Block Center, they will provide endless hours of learning. My goals are to introduce young learners to the idea of reusing everyday items through fun, hands-on classroom activities like art projects made from scrap materials and toy-sharing initiatives. To build early habits of sorting and recycling through visual aids, songs, and classroom recycling stations designed for small children. Lastly, to encourage mindful use of resources - like using less paper and turning off lights and faucets when not in use - by integrating simple, consistent eco friendly routines into the daily schedule.

The trucks target different types of waste, which allows me to teach about environmental responsibility, so the little ones can develop good habits for preserving the planet.

The play sets allow for imaginative play while teaching children how to sort and discard items, as well as increasing one to one correspondence skills. I need your support to have the necessary materials to teach students how to become responsible members of our society and do their part to preserve our beautiful planet as we know it.
