Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach the most wonderful group of students in a very low income Title 1 school in Texas. Many of our families face financial hardships. For many of my students, I am their first experience in a classroom setting and as the first, I aspire to create a hands on environment in which they can express themselves in many creative ways.

I am requesting basic art supplies, paint dabbers, assorted tapes, play dough, construction paper, craft kits, tissue paper, and much more.

These items will allow my students to explore their creativity and engage in meaningful, hands on learning in my classroom. With these materials, they will be able to draw, paint, cut, glue, build and strengthen their fine motor skills.

Most of my students do not have access to these supplies at home, by supporting my project, you are helping me provide my students with access to these materials that will help them with their self expression and enrich their learning.
