This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a teacher for Head Start, and we serve low-income families. Many have been through a lot of trauma. Our students have also been greatly impacted by the pandemic. The resources that I have chosen will be used to help them cope with their emotions and will allow me to promote a positive and safe learning environment.

I am in need of items such as moon sand and social emotional books (that are developmentally appropriate for my preschoolers).

These will help my students regulate their emotions and focus on learning.

The drawing your feeling magnet board will definitely be an asset to my classroom since many children at the age of 3-4 do not have the words yet to communicate their feelings. This board will allow them to draw and show how they are feeling.
