This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My little learners are so eager to be at Zooming each and every day. Our favorite things in the classroom are Sesame Street videos, music that gets our body moving, and our Wednesday workshop art projects. These aspects of our daily activities engage their little feet, hands, and huge imaginations!
As special education students with varying disabilities, it is always exciting to see a different way in which my students interact with resources around them.
Most of them can be sensitive with sensory activities so having the flexibility of different materials in the classroom gives each student an opportunity to delve into their creative and artistic little minds.
My Project
Many of my students are at the beginning stages of fine motor development. As students with varying disabilities, each child is at a different developmental stage of learning to use materials. It is important that we are able to provide them with many hands on materials that will encourage learning from different stages.
These materials will allow my students the opportunity to play with items that will strengthen their small fingers and assist them in meeting their individual needs.
The materials that we are asking for are engaging, colorful, and offer various opportunities for fine motor development.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
