My Students
Recently two schools were merged together, one from an upper class school and the other school from a lower class area. The pre-school classroom is housed in the middle school building. Some of my families are struggling trying to make ends meet and find employment. It is my desire to give my students every opportunity to explore learning.
My students are curious and fascinated with today’s technology and at times it gets pretty noisy in the classroom setting with all of the different programs running at one time on the iPads.
My students come from various economic backgrounds but they all are excited about learning.
My Project
All of my students want a chance to be on an IPad some students are a little more advanced in technology than others so there is a need for headphones to reduce the noise level during that time. It’s a time where students are allowed to work at there pace and be independent. Working on IPads also enhance their social skills and give them the ability to solve their own problems.
Each student will be able to hear and interact on their own individual IPads instead of trying to concentrate on the noise level at the table due to each student being on a different page.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
