Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are very eager learners who enjoy coming to school with smiles on their faces and excited to start the day.
Our school is a Title I school in which all the students receive free lunch and are also provided breakfast in the classroom to get their day started.
Many of my students live in very small apartments with multiple families living together.
School becomes a second home for many of my students and they feel safe and happy to be at school every day.
My Project
My little engineers are curious about structures and building towers. They will really enjoy the Early Engineering Set, LEGOs, K'NEX, and Gears that will challenge their thinking but also allow their imagination to go wild and create castles, animals, vehicles, and more.
My students will have endless hours of fun learning STEM skills and strengthening fine motor development to connect the pieces that they are building.
These materials will definitely make a difference in my students' learning because they will be working cooperatively in a group and collaborating with their peers to construct something together and also to improve their design if it doesn't work.
