This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

For most of my children, this is their first experience being away from home and being separated from their families. Being away from home is difficult for most students but compounded with the pandemic, it can be a traumatic experience, none the less they come to school each day, full of energy, curiosity, excited to be here and ready to learn and play! To them, school is a place where they feel safe, loved, and valued. This difficult transition is also affected by their already existing life circumstances.

100 % of our children come from low-income households and receive free breakfast and lunch.

With the right help, you can help inspire our children to become future scientists, doctors, explorers, and inventors as they learn through play.

My Project

Children are curious and love to explore the world around them through hands-on experiences as they touch, feel, and see. Science is part of our daily lives, from cooking dinner to growing a garden. Everything we do is science.

These science materials which I requested would provide my students the opportunity to learn and explore science in a fun and engaging way in the classroom.

These science materials will help the children learn to problem solve and think critically while experimenting and exploring the human body, different earth materials, and properties of motion.

This is the best time to spark their interest in science. Understanding science helps children think critically, relate to the world around them, and appreciate it. We may be inspiring the future Einstein, Newton, or Hawking.
