This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My student develop their reading fluency and confidence through "reading phones" that will allow each student to hear themselves read.
With class sizes on the rise, it is hard for students to truly engage in literature during reading time because of the distractions of other students reading around them.
These tools will help them focus on only their reading. It will also help students with speech because they will be able to hear the words they are saying and how they are pronouncing them more clearly. All around, these tools will help my second graders on their journey to reading proficiency!
