This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Starting Kindergarten and also learning what "normal" life is during a pandemic, is hard work. I want to offer my students the best experience in Kindergarten to start their academic careers. My Kindergarten students are learning about how to deal with their emotions and feelings, social skills, and learning our curriculum which includes learning how to read and math, including adding and subtracting.

The items in our cart are to support social-emotional needs, academic support, and tools needed in our classroom.

Students will be able to work through emotions and other needs using sensory tools like kinetic sand and manipulative tools. Students will also be able to apply reading skills by using cvc and word reading activities during centers.
