Our PreK students love to explore using tactile materials such as playdoh, sand and water, etc. The sand and water table and playdoh will extend their opportunities to learn, ensuring that every student has enough materials to work with, and even new experiences for many of them.
Furthermore, the sand and water material (coupled with buckets, shovels, etc.
that we already have) will give them opportunities to develop math skills such as measuring, weighing, counting scoops to fill a bucket, etc., all with the convenience of being indoors. They can continue to use a flourishing imagination with the playdoh, as they often speak of elaborately detailed scenarios while describing what they've constructed. The dry erase markers we requested will enable them to continue thriving in writing their full names, new vocabulary sight words, emergent spelling, and even sentences for kindergarten readiness.
This project will help them to acquire more materials to further expand their learning growth.
