Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year I will be teaching 68-second grade students. They are very enthusiastic and have a strong desire to return to school after the quarantine.
Many of my students come from very large families that are supported by very low incomes.
Some of them come from Mexico and different parts of Central America.
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
My Project
This color printer will help my students that do not have access to virtual learning be successful. By receiving hard colored packages they will be able to complete their own assignments.
Due to COVID-19 most families in our communities lost their jobs and don't have academic resources, devices, or the internet connection required to access virtual learning.
Having this HP LaserJet Color Printer, I will be able to reach not only my second-grade students but also my team's students as well. I plan to use this printer to print packets for them and I will have the parents pick them up at the school.
This donation will make a great impact on our little ones as many of them spent last semester having their virtual classes on cell phones. By giving them hard copies I will be able to keep them engaged in their education!
