My Students

My students come from a variety of homes and lifestyles. We have been through a lot together over the past year or two. I am trying to make school as "normal" as possible for my students.

Reading is the most fundamental building block for educational success.

I want to provide a variety literature options to encourage all my students to enjoy reading. Kids have so many options to occupy their time these days, by having books that they enjoy and can relate to, will hopefully help them choose reading over other things.

My Project

Reading is critical for young children. Making sure they are exposed to a variety of reading material is also critical. It is important for students to be able to read the types of books they enjoy reading. One of my goals as a teacher is to get as many books in the hands of my students as possible.

Literature studies allow students to gain many valuable reading skills by simply reading a novel.

Using literature studies not only introduces children to different stories but it also encourages students to learn vocabulary, practice asking and answering questions and analyze novels at their reading level.
